Wednesday What’s Up!!!

March 9, 2011

Oh I’ve got some goodies to share! First, I am sooooo extremely excited that I will be second-shooting weddings with Rachel from Millie Holloman Photography this year!!!  That also means I will not be taking on any of my own weddings because I will be busy shooting with Rachel.  I had the opportunity to shoot for them last July and absolutely loved it.  Here’s the post from that wedding on their blog and I’m going to post some too but all the credit goes to the lovely and amazing Millie Holloman Photography!!!

Second, if you are still reading……………..

This is what I presented to my Justin a few months ago and it was shocker.  I thought my idea was pretty clever, easy, and didn’t cost a thing.  Our Eggo’s actually had freezer burn but it’s not like Justin or I were going to actually eat it so it worked.  This will make it our second child.  If you didn’t already know Ruca, our sweet little dog, is our first child and will have quite the awakening when she won’t be getting all the attention.  We are excited and nervous since we will be first time parents and I work while Justin goes to pharmacy school but people do it and survive.   The due date for this little being inside me is 9/22/2011.  Luckily I’ve had no morning sickness just a few episodes when I’m laying in bed at night.  I’ve just been more tired which is why my blog has been a little neglected.  I’m just not looking forward to NC hot and humid summer while being in the last trimester.  Ugh!!!  We are blessed everything is going so wonderfully so far.  That’s all my news for today!  Enjoy your week!

I’ve been a cookin’

August 1, 2010

The lady that lives across from us gave me an Amish Friendship Bread starter and I’ve made it twice and onto another one.  It is delicious!  Some people think it’s hard to do it for 10 days but it really isn’t.  Just make sure you put it where you see it everyday!  It smells soooo good baking and well tastes like heaven too!

I was trying to create a PDF file so I could create a link so you can have the recipe but I can’t seem to get it to work.  If you want me to e-mail it you just leave me a comment and I’ll send it to ya!  ****I looked to see how to actually get it going the first time and it said to put 1 cup of flour, sugar, and milk in a bag.*****  Let me know what you think after you try it.

I also tried making Cafe Rio’s Sweet Pulled Pork and it turned out pretty good but of course it’s not quite the same.  The cilantro rice was pretty good but I didn’t make the Cilantro/Ranch dressing that good.  The whole meal was quite the process so I don’t know when I’ll try it again but at least I tried it.
